5th Small Group

The fifth grade small group has been working on reading How to be a Perfect Person in just Three Days. Milo is the main character; he found a book in the library that guaranteed that if he followed the explicit instructions that were contained in the book that he would be perfect in just three days. He has do some crazy things in his quest to be perfect. He is also learning that being perfect might not be as much fun as he had originally imagined. Have your child keep you updated Milo and his quest to be perfect.

6th Grade Small Group

The sixth grade small group has been working on reading the book Fudge-a-Mania by Judy Blume. Fudge-a-Mania is about Peter and his brother Fudge who are on a family vacation in Maine. They are sharing a house with another family. While in Maine Peter and Fudge have some interesting adventures. Ask your child to keep you updated on Peter and Fudge's adventures while in Maine.

Accelerated Reader Update

Over the holiday break Okoboji Middle School updated the Accelerated Reader Program. Now parents on their home computer can see what books their child and has read and taken quizzes over. It is very simple and all you need is a computer with internet access.

There was a letter sent home with your childs report card that contained the username and password that would be needed to access the program. This letter also contained some explicit directions on how to access the site.
